Warnings
This product is not intended to be used by children under the age of 16 years old, persons with reduced physical or cognitive abilities, or without having read the user manual, unless they have been given supervision or instruction approved by Southern Innovationz Limited, (SIL) concerning the use of the Rapid Cap product (Rapid Cap) in a safe way. Children should be supervised at all times to ensure that they do not play with Rapid Cap.
Failure to operate
In the unlikely event that your Rapid Cap does not operate correctly, please refer to steps four and five of the user manual. If in doubt or for further advice please visit the 'Video Tutorial' or 'Contact Us' section at Rapidcap.co.nz.
Warranty
Subject to the rest of this document, SIL warrants that Rapid Cap will operate in accordance with the user manual for two years from the date of purchase.
Exclusions
Failing to use the correct reusable insulin pens,ultra fine needles and/or inner needle caps will result in internal product damages and will not be covered under the warranty. Rapid Cap is compatible with the sizes of ultra fine disposable needles and pens where the inner needle cap is exposed for removal set out on our website from time to time. The warranty is void if you use Rapid Cap with any incompatible super fine needle or reusable insulin pen.
If Rapid Cap is subject to high volumes of sunlight some discoloration may occur. Do not leave out in the open elements or Rapid Cap may fail to operate and your warranty will be void.
The warranty is void if Rapid Cap has been opened prior to its receipt by you. The warranty is void if Rapid Cap is used other than is accordance with the user manual, this document, directions and instructions are posted on our website with correct usage. The warranty does not cover any accidental damage to Rapid Cap. We may be able to assist with repairs subject to a charge.
The warranty is void if repair of Rapid Cap has been attempted by a third party.
We are also unable to honor any warranty where your Rapid Cap has been purchased from an unauthorized distributor; in this instance your rights would lay at the point of the sale.
Southern Innovationz Limited is not responsible for anything that happens or fails to happen after the removal of, or attempt to remove, the inner needle cap. For example, and without limitation, Southern Innovations Limited has no responsibility for the dialing up of, administration of or failure to administer insulin or the administration of the incorrect amount of insulin.
Sole remedy
In the event that Rapid Cap fails to comply with the warranty set out above, to the fullest extent permitted by law, your sole remedy will be for SIL to, at its option, either replace the product with one that complies with the warranty or to refund to you the price you paid for your Rapid Cap.
Limitations and exclusions
To the extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will SIL be liable (whether in contract, tort including negligence, or otherwise) to you for any loss, damage, cost or expense of any kind whatsoever that is indirect, consequential, or of a special nature, arising directly or indirectly out of your purchase or use of Rapid Cap, even if SIL had been advised of the possibility of such damages, and even if such loss, damage, cost or expense was reasonably foreseeable by SIL.
To the extent permitted by law, the maximum liability of SIL to you arising out of any and all claims relating to Rapid Cap will not in any circumstances exceed the amount you paid for your Rapid Cap.
Storage and Usage
Rapid Cap has been designed to work in any daily routine. The outer casing is durable and can be cleaned with warm water, general household sprays and disinfectant wipes. Do not clean inside the unit. Do not leave the cap in the Rapid Cap for an extended period of time. Do not hold Rapid Cap up to your face/eyes and look into the guide if there is a needle cap inside. Keep Rapid Cap out of reach of children. Do not leave out in open elements. Do not put insert anything else, apart from the recommended inner needle caps into the guide.
If fluid is spilt into the guide, simply tip Rapid Cap upside down and leave to dry. This will not affect the internal mechanisms.
