GETTING STARTED

Rapid Cap reduces the need for co-dependence for diabetics. The product is safe and can be used at home or on the go. Find all the information you or your loved one need to get started with Rapid Cap.

WHY RAPID CAP?

Rapid Cap stemmed from an everyday action that created numerous problems for diabetics and health care specialists and nurses. Removing the inner needle cap from insulin pens is problematic as the needle can pierce through the side of the inner needle cap and cause injuries. Diabetics often have a loss of sensation in their hands making this task fiddly and time-consuming.

Rapid Cap was created for healthcare professionals who noticed the large-scale impact the inner needle cap was posing for people under their care. Removing the cap quickly and having somewhere to put it became problematic, with many people using temporary solutions such as Blu-Tack or clothes pegs.

RAPID CAP OVERVIEW

Rapid Cap is functional and ensures the user does not have to touch the inner needle cap during application and removal. The guide helps the user to the centre, where they can push the pen down using their dominant or weaker hand. When the cap has been applied or removed a ‘click’ tells the user that the lid has been removed or replaced.

The outer casing is durable for everyday knocks and drops, it is easy to clean and does not discolour easily. The silicon pad on the bottom is non-slip on hard surfaces. If fluid like water enters the unit the user can simply turn it upside down to dry the internal parts.
